I cleaned house, did laundry, made a casserole and prepared some greenbeans so I have dinner for the next couple of days, worked on genealogy, and helped plan a party...

Best wishes to all families. I have been experiencing the dynamic of older parents in poor health the last few months especially. I have nine siblings and there are problems galore.

Sorry about your bad news, Bway. If your brother's relationship can be saved, there are some books by psychologist Harville Hendrix that might help. Harville has been on Oprah many times saving couples. The books are called "Getting the Love You Want" (for couples) and "Keeping the Love You Find" for individuals.

Harville and his wife Helen Hunt (no, not THAT Helen Hunt) also derived a form of couples therapy called Imago Relationship Counseling, and there are gifted practitioners in most major cities. Check the books out.

And Beacon, I've never told you this, but I love your Patrick pictures.

No! I brought it home with me and fell sound asleep on my couch. I slept through at least 3 phone calls, and woke up with pen in hand and manilla folders all over the place... I was more tired than I realized!

I'll get it all done tomorrow, though. I'll just go in a little earlier than usual.

I had a big bowl of cereal, Cookie... And, yes, Glebb, I guess I needed some rest. But I really feel fine. In fact, I'm looking forward to lots of fun plans the rest of the week as well as some interesting projects at work!

And, Cookie, I hope you ate something healthy!

Not busy like the past few weeks, but plenty to do.
Leave for Helsinki in two weeks. NYC after that. Need to be packed out of the office before I leave for Helsinki. Other artistic/administrative stuff to do.

Have you been to Helsinki before? Have you ever tried the licorice with the lemon cream inside. It is delicious. A friend of mine served as a missionary in Finland and really liked it. He went back on a business trip and brought some back for me. Then a friend traveling to Russia had a lay-over in Helsinki and got some for me.
