Thanks. If you'll exscuse me I have to go make out with a heterosexual leading man of Broadway.
Have a GREAT day

I'm interested in reading some details of the investigation. Still don't find anything in the LA Times. Are you certain that was the correct publication, Dame?
geez, the more people i talk to about this guy, the more stories i hear about his predilection for pubescence.
Etoile;
I believe it is todays LA Times. Calendar section.
Right after readings Namo's post I was guessing as to how much farther in the thread you would appear asking the same thing. It reminded me of the Gilbert Gottfried character in Aladdin and his relationship to the villain.
Have a great weekend!

Sorry that I'm not familiar with what I assume is Disney's ALADDIN.
I also don't seem to be making the connection between Namo asking at 11:41pm on 04/06/06 about a news article and my asking almost 16 hours later if that was the correct publication because I was unable to locate said article in a major US newspaper. For the record I did check the National Enquirer. I've noticed that has been mentioned in the past as a prior source for some of your more salacious scoops.
I'm very interested in how many and exactly what type of details of an investigation would be available to the media at this point in the legal process. Excuse me for once having been interested in something you posted. I certainly don't see myself making that mistake again.
Etoile;
I am sorry you fail to see the humor. You should see the movie. It is wonderful.
Oh.. and the article is still in Fridays Los Angeles Times. I have now answered the same question 3 times.

Look who's talking about an innocent act. Face it Dame, you were BSing, as usual. Your "early edition" of the Friday LA Times didn't have a single new detail other than what the UPI and the Post wrote. However, you thought that "sounded" like an indepth investigation. Sure, you "believe" it was in the Calendar section, and personally, I believe you "believe" that for one reason only.

IF the allegations are true, and even IF the female had sex with numerous people, it is still wrong for a grown man to take advantage of a minor sexually. IF it is true, ITS WRONG no matter...
BTW, wasn't James Barbour also in BEAUTY & THE BEAST awhile back? Although I may be mistaken, I think I remember seeing his name connected with it. If that's so, that makes this story extra creepy.
Lots of IFs
Yes, he was.

I believe he was in Beauty and the Beast with Little Ms. Warbucks, Andrea McCardle, no?

well put, loveclassics.
you said it much better than I, and you said exactly what I have been thinking while reading the comments by people who actually think that a 15 year old is in charge of such a situation, or that a 15 year old and a 35 year old are on an equal playing field in any sense of the word. Whether she is telling the truth or not is up to the court. Hopefully, justice is served either way.
Sueleen, James was actually the Beast with that stunt casted Belle of all Belles, Toni Braxton. I'm pretty sure that same guy who has been playing Beast FOREVER was the Beast with Andrea McArdle.
That is how much "publicity" this young woman will get for these "crazy" accusations. Not even BroadwaWorld.com thinks it's worthy of the front page.
Please, an honest request, without getting involved with this battle, Dame or whomever is claiming there is a follow up article in the LA times with add'l information, please contact me privately with the actual link. at pbspotlight@yahoo.com I have searched the paper and even contacted them yesterday. This is important.
If more documented information is out there I would be very apprecaitive for the link. Thank you.
Pati b.
Why privately? Post it here. If it's published it is not an invasion of his privacy. There are many people interested in this story...
"Exactly where does it "sound" like a "big, extensive investigation was done????" "
Tomorrows LA times.. which I have a early edition of in my hands.
Is it possible the on-line Times would not have the article yet it still might have been published in the print edition? Dame, or anyone else, if you have a print copy of the Times could you scan it and post it? Thanks.
Yep, you are right Sue. I just didn't want to add to the rukus that's already brewin'. POST THAT LINK!
And while we're at it. I'd like confirmation on the announcment about Norm Lewis playing Javert. The last time BWW stuck their neck out with an unconfirmed paper article they had John Goodman in Hairspray. Next they'll have Elmer Fudd in ...something.
Me and Gil Grissom want factual evidence.
There's a difference between BWW sticking it's neck out, and a thread discussing an article which DID appear in the NY Post, not that I believe them to have the highest journalistic standards.
Whenever there is a controversial allegation about someone, the facts are going to get blurred with speculation. That's just what happens.
I also would be interested in seeing the LA Times story to see if it offered additional information to the rather general info in the Post.
No one ever wins in a case like this. Not the accused, and not the accuser. It taints everyone and everything connected with it, which is unfortunate because it just reinforces to countless other girls and women who have been sexually violated that it is easier to not say anything and keep it a secret. And is that really what we want?
The disgustingly frivolous way that people on this board have responded to this truly horrible news, something that can shatter a man's life and career, is one of the reasons you see so little of eslgr8 these days. You should all be ashamed of yourselves!!! I'm out of here!

And yet I am somehow not surprised in the least to see you in this thread, for some strange reason.
Don't let the Virtual Brokeback Mountain Saloon door hit you on the ass on your way out, pardner.

And yet it is alright to encourage young people to post their pictures and tell them how cute they are on the internet? I am not surprised this hit a nerve with you, Stephen.
I'm with Stephen on being disgusted by some of the comments in this thread. But it also boths me that his disgust seems to only be on behalf of Barbour, showing no concern at all for the alledged victim. That's more than a little disturbing coming from someone who is casting stones.
Your adoration of Parks in that "Avatar" thread defined creepy.
Is that you in your avatar? - eslgr8 Popping in to say hi to the teenagers, and to ConvinceMe2, and to share my latest avatar: me and James Vasquez, writer/star of the new movie 29th and Gay, which I saw today. (See my review on the main board.) I bought a new camera, a Diamage X50 which I just love! I've gone from a measly 1.3 mp to 5 big ones. And finally I don't hate the way I look in photos. Continue where you left off...
Steven :)
PS: I look so tall in this picture!... (more...)
