She was so beautiful! I enjoyed her in everything I saw.
Am I a bad person for seeing the title of this thread and thinking it was the guy from KISS who died?
Oh, beautiful Jean. So lovely. My introduction was The Thorn Birds. RIP.

Aww! I just watched ELMER GANTRY a few months ago and I felt she at least deserved a nomination (along with co-stars Burt Lancaster and Shirley JOnes) instead of eventual Best Actress winner Liz Taylor in that wretched BUTTERFIELD 8. She reminded me somewhat of Audrey Hepburn, but I felt she held more than her own in that film.

Yeah, I did too. Not going to lie.
Sad news ..... always enjoyed her performances. (And nobody seems to remember that she was the girl in the original 1949 version of The Blue Lagoon.)
In addition to Elmer Gantry, there were roles in Spartacus & Guys & Dolls
Another legend leaves us . R.I.P.
May she R.I.P. She was a marvel on screen. She should have won an Oscar for Elmer Gantry. Wonderful actress who will be missed.

Nope, I did too.
If in Heaven you don't excel, you can always party down in hell...
She also did The Robe which was the first picture in Cinemascope with Richard Burton.

She had many great roles in her career. She was also Ophelia to Olivier's "Hamlet."
