Hasn't this movie been searching for a distributor for ages? With Cooper and Lawrence's names attached, I'm wondering how bad it is if they couldn't sell it.

Yes it has been looking for a long time. I believe it finished filming almost 2 years ago. Allegedly, Bradley was trying to bury it.
