Jesse L. Martin to leave Law & Order

Variety is reporting that after 9 years, Jesse L. Martin will leave Law & Order; the next episode taped will be his last.

Anthony Anderson is in talks to replace him.

wow, nine years...
I wonder what's next for him. I remember him being attached to a Marvin Gaye bio, but don't know whatever came of that. I wish him the best..

The Marvin Gaye biopic looking like it's definitely set to go this time around... That's something to look forward to!

The Marvin Gaye biopic is still being worked on.... no worries -- it'll be out soon enough!

Why the hell are they replacing him with the "screaming-fat-guy-in-every-movie" Anthony Anderson? Now I'll have a reason to watch SVU instead, as if I already didn't with the Meloni on SVU.

Well, there goes my last reason to watch L & O, the original. I adore Jesse and think he is an extremely talented man. I know he will do great in whatever he choses to do next
