BEAUTIFUL! ...And seems like a sweet girl. I'm not a big fan of her voice, though. She does too many weird stylistic things that make it hard to understand her, and it sounds like she's hurting herself everytime I hear her live. She makes MY throat hurt when I hear her.. She has more musical skills then her sis though, I'll give her that.

I used to think she was ADORABLE (especially from Newlyweds). But I recently saw her Making the Video...

I think I am the only person in this world who likes Ashlee Simpson. Her voice isn't good and we all know that. Period. But, I am a sucker for husky voices (a la Kathleen Turner and Bette Davis). On her CD, she sounds good, though only The Big Man knows what they did to make her sound like that. On top of everything else, the songs written for (and by) her are entertaining and catchy, a cut above what is currently on Z100.

As far as Jessica, she's got a booming voice, interesting personality, and good screen presence. I can't wait to see her Daisy Duke.

her voice is kinda raspy, but I wouldn't call it husky or deep... Timbre-wise, it is pretty girly actually. I consider darker timbre and husky voices to be more like Toni Braxton and Anita Baker.. Also, I love a good dark voice as well, but they have to be able to use it well to catch my attention.. that's just my opinion though

I agree, I love Toni Braxton, shes got a great voice. But omg did you see that guy on american Idol who claimed he was he brother? that was really funny.

I love Toni too. She's got a heck of a voice with some great "meat" to it.. not to mention she has some great songs. Her songs are among my favs to sing. and.. Ohh my.. yes, I DO indeed remember him.. that was kinda sad and pathetic. I don't think he was foolin' anyone lol.

O loved how he'd sing and then the judges would be in awe, and then hed suddenly stop and be like "Umm (like he realized it sucked) Ok" and wait for an answer! If I was Simon, I'd be like
"get the fudge out of here!"

Those are sometimes the funniest (and saddest at the same time) auditions. The ones where they "sing" their little hearts out and stand there expectantly waiting for the judges to tell them how wonderful they were. They are just grinning away and there is nothing but silence lol. Just the stunned look on the judges faces, and then the confusion the contestant has when noone says anything, followed by realization, and then a silent exit.. brutal Yes, I shouldn't get glee out of these people's misfortune, but that's what happens when they put themselves out there I suppose. I do feel bad for them afterwards though...

You got on the air? my friend Brittany went who s incredibly talented and was rejected in the 1st round, because they didnt want a "big broadway voice". Arent there like a few rounds of cuts before people even go on the air?
