All that yodeling may have finally gotten to Jewel, who apparently suffered a mini-meltdown during a show last weekend in New Hampshire. Fans tell Seacoastonline.com that the snaggle-toothed warbler's erratic on-stage behavior included insulting the overweight and toothless and asking the crowd for requests, only to order them to "shut the hell up."

"I don't know if she was having a nervous breakdown or what," one witness tells the website. "She told everyone to stop looking at her teeth and look at her breasts." She also didn't endear herself to her fan base by allegedly telling them she'd seen "a better audience at a barroom brawl and that all drinkers and smokers were sinners." Jewel's reps claims she does a lot of "tongue-in-cheek humor" during her concerts. Oh. Um, ha?

This wouldn't be the first time La Kilcher has come under fire for her humour being misinterpreted. She was villified a little while back for some comments about the gays, if memory serves. What upsets me most about her though is the fact she has such a huge talent and doesn't seem to know what to do with it. Her latest material has been, well, I'll be kind and say misguided.....

Some folks find Madonna's gap (the one between her teeth) to be sexy. Jewel's snaggle-teeth are just nasty!

Well Jewel paid enough for them shiney new teets. Her new music leaves her fans with much to be desired. But she herself said she's that because it's what the people want to hear and she doesn't mind selling out.

But that article made her sound like Courtney Love. I wish I could have been there.

I've heard many reports that she is an absolute terror in interviews. I remember one radio station in Houston that said they would never have her back and she treated everyone like crap.

Celebrities who get breast implants want them to be objectified. (Either for the purposes of job prospects, or magazine covers.) Cry me a river about the "unwanted" attention.
