If that happens I'll definitely have a trip there. One of my favorite Cy Coleman shows. Though, perhaps it's just me, isn't John Barrowman a little too young for this part??

You're right, Rath. He IS doing a lot of reality tv judging over here but he's more known to non-theatre audiences through 'Torchwood'. I'll wait anxiously to see if this will come off. That guy has charisma and charm by the bucket-load. He'd be perfect in this role.

That was Michael Ball. I'd love to see John in a new musical though. If he takes his shirt off in Barnum I'll be there.

You mean like Dirty Dancing, Desperately Seeking Susan or Fame? Barnum is a fantastic show with a wonderful Coleman score. The original staging was stunning.

The original production of BARNUM was a bore, I thought, almost entirely forgettable, but hey, that's just me.
