Nooooooooooo! Quite literally, the 80s are dying this year. I'm so sad.
I'm going home and watching Pretty in Pink.

Posted: 8/6/09 at 5:37pmThe angst of the teenage years was perfectly captured in Sixteen Candles, one of my favorite movies. It still cracks me up when ever I see it.

I still think SIXTEEN CANDLES is the most visible fun I've seen a director have with a film - and, like Otis, I can still quote almost the entire flick (including sound cues!)
So young, he was. RIP.

This made me cry.
I must have saw the Breakfast club every week for three months when it was first released at the movies.
RIP.

Unbelievable! I remember when his movies were dismissed as "something the kids get excited about" and now those movies are held up as eighties comedy classics.
Oddly enough, my favorite one is SOME KIND OF WONDERFUL.
