Johnny Weir-does this count as "coming out"? — Page 2

Marc Acito posted the link this morning along with a FB status that said, "Johnny Weir is the Adam Lambert of figure skating."

Great minds think alike.

He's certainly not technically the best, but he's definitely an interesting performer. He does remind me of Lady Gaga in that he adheres to the rules of the competition for the most part, but watching his performance it's very clear that he's the person competing.

At the same time, by figure skating's current rules, there's not much of a reason for him being a celebrity. He isn't a fantastic physical performer, and his personality and "ambiguous" sexuality is all he has to ride on.
