Just wondering what peoples thoughts are on Johnny. He has always been very coy when talking about his personal life. But when you look at a promo like this, does he even HAVE to come out?

In this day and age, with everyone from NPH to Rugby players coming proudly out, should a person (who most of the world would assume is gay, imho) still just come out and say it?
Wow. That's . . . That's the gayest promo I've ever seen. And by gayest I do in fact mean most homosexual.
I guess that's his way of coming out. Way over the top!

That was so gay it turned me straight.
WOW. I might need to subscribe to Showtime just to watch that promo every week.
Somebody who is that much of a stereotype doesn't need to come out. I had never heard of him, and I'm sorry I did.
Well, you're gonna be hearing a lot more about him, since this past weekend he qualified for the U.S. Figure Skating Team for the winter Olympics, and his TV series starts tonight on the Sundance Channel.
Oh yes, I often watch figure skating and the Sundance Channel. Yeah, that's it.
The only reason I know of him is because people were fawning all over him a couple of months back.
wow, for a gay guy he sure has the worst taste in costumes.
You guys are all sick. Even though some of you posting are probably gay, you are making fun of how flaming that was and how it turned you straight and how much he fits "the stereotype". you are all just bitter and hate when a gay guy fits the gay stereotype too much cause you are embarrassed by it and secretly wish you were straight.

He looks like a 12 year old crack head.
I used to love him -way back when he just started and used to cry when he fell. Oh wait-he still does.
If he grows up, matures, and loses the attitude, I may just love him again!
CSonBroadway please tell me you aren't serious.

He makes them himself.
Seriously.
I admire him because he is in the current tradition of Lady Gaga and Adam Lambert. Their personas are of their own making, a luttle raw, a little unschooled, a little too much around the edges--or, possibly, at heart.
But they are NOT creations of a corporate "branding" model.
And for that I have nothing but admiration for them, even if I don't particularly respond to their singing or skating or style.
"He makes them himself."
That's very nice, but I still think they are really ugly.
I didn't know he was in!

I think he needs sewing lessons.

Shut up...
CSonBroadway, please tell me you are joking.
Marc Acito posted the link this morning along with a FB status that said, "Johnny Weir is the Adam Lambert of figure skating."
