yeah dottie- they're supposed to be laying low and yet there's something about them on the news just about everyday! This is Jon's 2nd girlfriend (that we know about) in the last few months. Jon's a TV star now so going to France just makes sense!-ha! Kate is in Hollywood shopping deals and she's been invited to attend a luncheon with Maria Shriver (she says she invited her because her kids like the show). She will be hobnobbing with Katie Couric! All of this only because as she stated- "I bought one and got 5 for free". I guess they have a really good nanny!

So apparently Jon and his girlfriend are going to be designing clothes, and the Plus 8 will be modeling said clothes in the ads for their line. This is going to be *awesome*! How can you not get sucked into this? It's even better than the tabloid story about Kate trying to turn the twins into the next Mary-Kate and Ashley.


...The lovebirds spent the weekend along the French Riviera so Gosselin could finalize a deal to design his own line of children's clothing with Ed Hardy designer Christian Audigier. Glassman will also have a hand in creating the kid-friendly fashions. "She'll have a lot of input with Christian," Gosselin told PEOPLE of Hailey's involvement. "And I will, too." And don't forget the plus eight - Gosselin tells PEOPLE that his eight kids, who spent the weekend with Kate at the family's Pennsylvania home, will model his designs in ads for the line.

cellblock- actually- that was pretty funny about his Asian kids making the clothes! Still- this whole idea is just ridiculous! I wonder if the girlfriend studied design in college? Jon didn't- he didn't even go to college!

Um, so when does Jon actually, you know, PARENT the children?

In between Fivers or Sixers games or whatever? When the kids are on visitation at the schwanky apartment and knock on his bedroom door at 3am, seeking reassurance after having had a bad dream and Jon answers the door dressed in post-coital boxer chic? Does he read them bedtime stories over the phone while he's in France planning on using them as mannequins?

What diva? So that's not appealing?- lol Actually, if you think about it- he is a millionaire now. He has nannies to take care of the kids so his new wife wouldn't have to. I love it that while he was away in France, Kate staged a picnic in FRONT of her house. Oh, whoa is me, my soon to be ex is in France and I have to have a picnic lunch at home! Maddie- move out of the way- the paps are trying to get my picture now! I still can't believe that Kate was invited to an A-list event. All she did was have multiple kids and then exploit them on TV. She and her husband are such tools!

Dunno if I hate J&K, really. They can't really handle the fame, have lost perspective, or whatever. I've seen their kind of coupledom before--controlling person paired with a more passive person (in most cases, the relationships ended).

I've seen the type of person Kate is...in fact I've worked with her type before. That inherent unhappiness always showing in the eyes. But Kate's eyes are so...cold, too. Hard, staring, set in consternation like a pilgrim minister, unforgiving, like she's always looking for something, usually something that gives some type of offense to self-inflated sensibilities. So rarely are these types of people swatted down every once in a while. Why? They need intervention.

Jon's a tool too, seething beneath the surface, expecting the world to give him something instead of taking the initiative, immature but thinks he's so damn suave. Clearly not meant for the choices he made (or those made for him). Clearly not meant for much if not for dumb luck.

Don't know why I got all analytical there. I guess we can learn something, even from a reality show, about relationships, even through the haze of fame. You can't hide who you are.

Do i have a point? Not really.

Can't say I'm a fan of how they're using the kids. Documenting home life is one thing, but this branchey outey stuff--one can only hope those kids are earning their college/wedding/first house/rest of life money.

Excellent analysis nygirl! To me, Kate has always seemed so fake. When I saw the video of when they got married- her voice was soooo fake! It's like she was trying way too hard! It's actually kinda funny to see some of the older episodes and the foreshadowing- kinda eery! It's so obvious that Jon is dating the Plastic Surgeon's daughter to really throw it in Kate's face- which to me is also very amusing!

I was watching an episode yesterday when they all went on vacation. Jon was snowboarding and Kate said, "He looks so much younger here. He's just having a great time. Even the crew mentioned that they haven't seen him this happy in a long time." Sheesh, dude is only 32. Not like he's old. There was some serious foreshadowing going on.

That article refers to his fiancee (wow, that was quick) as a whore several times. No mention of Jon's whore status. Come on, people, it takes two.

He's not handling matters well. Yes, Kate treated him like crap. What's he trying to prove? That he's a MAN? A real man wouldn't act like a damn fool.

Yes, the whole wedding thing was very forced. Everything about their relationship was so misguided. As awful as Kate is, at least she gives a damn about her children.

I think they both care about their children. Seems like the kids really enjoy spending time with their dad. They don't care that he's a man-whore who smokes and rides motorcycles (not that there's anything wrong with that) wearing expensive Ed Hardy shirts and shops at Gucci. Personally, I think it would be stupid for him to get engaged before his divorce is even final. (although I think he's been trying to get out for years) Again, he's really trying to get back at Kate. I'd love to see Mady in a couple of years! Imagine when she goes through puberty!

I can't decided what we're gonna get from Mady in 10 years, a Mommie Dearest-esque tell all book, or a Brooke Hogan-esque 'reality' show of her own, but whichever it is I will be ready!

In all seriousness, I am really surprised that we haven't heard a cancellation announcement from TLC yet- what are the new episodes gonna show us that US Weekly and People Magazine haven't? I mean, you know, besides more "hey kids, put on your (insert sponsor name) jackets and grab your (insert sponsor name) toys, because we're going to (insert sponsor name) today!" Because I won't know where to buy things like $7,000 play houses without J&K showing me...

Yeah- when you are on the cover of multiple tabloids for months- something has got to give. It's obviously not working anymore. All I see is that both parents are becoming more publicity hos and the kids are caught in the middle. They will probably have to homeschool these kids because you know, their school friends will spill the beans on what's going on. Or, it will turn into a show where the public gets to vote on what they want to see next. Their biggest mistake is to turn their life into a business. They have earned more money than just about anyone and more than enough to last with some good investments. but then again, they keep spending wildly! Now, Jon is on the cover of the new People mag! But- he wants to stay private. Pahleeze! I wonder if TLC dumped this show would another network pick it up? It's a shame that scandal has given them these high ratings when the kids are the ONLY reason for the show. Jon is denying that he is engaged. It could all be a big publicity stunt which is PATHETIC and amusing at the same time!
