As smart as this is, the right just DOES NOT LISTEN. The left keep screaming into the void, but they only hear what they want to hear. Notice how they INSTANTLY started with "this is not the time for debate." Of course it is.

The left needs to push and push and, I hate saying, maybe start playing dirty. Otherwise the right will run right over them, as they have so many times before.

He neglected to say, however, the 3 magic letters. N. R A. Notice how LaPierre has totally avoided the media.

As much as I don't like Bloomberg generally, he was spot on 1,000% on CNN tonight. I actually opened my mind to him tonight on this issue.

He has a completely reasonable outlook. He's not saying "TAKE AWAY ALL THE GUNS". He's saying "REGULATE GUNS, and make these goddamn semiautomatic assault rifles illegal for civilians for chrissakes".

"...everyone finally shut up, and the audience could enjoy the beginning of the Anatevka Pogram in peace."

The NRA is not totally unreasonable; they do realize there is a problem:
"Saying it was “high time to take action against the number one cause of violence in America,” the National Rifle Association issued a statement today urging a sweeping ban on movies.

Tracy Klugian, an official spokesperson for the gun-lobbying organization, said that the N.R.A. had taken this extraordinary step because it “could not stand idly by and watch movies tear apart the fabric of our civil society.”

To that end, Mr. Klugian said, the N.R.A. would use money from its PAC, the N.R.A. Political Victory Fund, to support politicians who favored a ban on filmed entertainment."

Oops, its supposed to be a joke. Hard to tell tho!
