Yes, because "The Bachelor" is such a champion of the "traditional marriage."
I mean, let's think about the show has yet to have a POC as the Bachelor/Bachelorette.
He's right. Gay men should hold themselves to a higher standard than the dreck this whore swims in.

Not to stereotype, but allow me: Gayface for daaaaaaaays.
Well, thank God his aggressive Latino-ness is bringing some much-needed diversity to this fine program.

I watched this dreck for about fifteen minutes last week. ( I was too lazy to get up and get the remote). I had the impression his child lived with him and baby mama wasn't in the picture. He spoke of how much his little girl meant to him. If this is true about the child support, what a f-ing HYPOCRITE

Will this reach the outrage of the Duck Dynasty level? Probably not.
It might. The Bachelor page on FB is already gaining a lot of comments. And most (I would say 90%) are in support of kicking him off.
Lets be honest...the idiots over on A&E have a target audience thats...well...sort of backwoods, "Deliverance" style, country bumpkins.
ABC does have a more "liberal" crowd (At least from what I've seen) so I wouldn't be surprised if this gains a lot of attention and something is done about it.
Double Post.
Agreed with the more liberal audience for ABC. Plus, I can think off the top of my head at least 2 of their programs that contain same sex couples. I don't know if there are more right now.

ABC has responded.
"Juan Pablo’s comments were careless, thoughtless and insensitive, and in no way reflect the views of the network, the show’s producers or studio.”
ABC slams Bachelor's anti-gay comments
We're all wrong. Juan Pablo has apologized and once again, he is using the 'you took what I said out of context card'. Also, when making one of these forced apologies ALWAYS mention your 'gay friends'. We just love it when you do that! (fuc*ing idiot!)
"The comment was taken out of context. If you listen to the entire interview, there’s nothing but respect for Gay people and their families. I have many gay friends and one of my closest friends who’s like a brother has been a constant in my life especially during the past 5 months"
Tend to agree with borstalboy. Never understood the premise of a show when one person (male or female) gets to choose from a harem of others, who, presumably, are all, on face value, sold on the guy/gal as a significant other.
He also said that English was not his first language, so he got confused and used the wrong word. But, pervert versus saying that gay people are more affectionate and intense and would be too racy for some people still doesn't sound good to me.

"duck Dynasty level"? You mean all but rewarded? There were no consequences, no punishments and no regrets for the "Duck Dynasty" comments.
Maybe he's just an assHole.
At first I gave him the benefit of the doubt: Maybe it was the English-as-a-second-language thing.
Then a Spanish-speaking friend told me that the only two words in Spanish he could have been thinking of when he said "pervert" were "pervertido" and "perverso," both of which carry the meaning of wicked, depraved or evil in some way.
It aims for morons to watch it and it has suceeded. It is also cheap to produce.

Since when is "The Bachelor" considered a family show? It's smut and I wouldn't allow my grandkids to watch it.
Damn, ABC must have really struck the fear of God into poor poor Juan Pablo. The damage control on all of this is really getting ridiculous. I doubt he is this sorry but I'm sure this will piss off the anti gay crowd, which I am all for!

As far as any network can be judged on their content, ABC trumps the other networks (even in terms of their soaps which going back to the early 80s had gay characters.) But, wow.
(Romantico, there are no words to express how much your current avatar brings me happiness.)

Is it really worth reporting what this guy thinks about this whole situation? Then again, he always finds someway to stay in the public eye.
