So I went to Best Buy today to get a new ac adapter for my laptop and. But when I realized there's no "Movie/Musical" section I asked the guy worked there to look since they can search by a performers name. Judy Garland, in this case.

So this guy goes to the computer to search by actors name and he types it in but got nothing, then asked me how to spell the name 3 times. Keeping in mind I wasn't in the best mood cause I have the flu, I spelled it patiently and asked if he never heard of the name and he didn't have a clue. While this happening a line has formed while he searches and the others there were not happy cause he still looked lost.

He kept doing a search for the name and like, so then asked for the a little frustrated because the man behind me were on line when he asked me for the name AGAIN and practially half of the line said "JUDY GARLAND!!" and I just said "You know,....as in Judy Garland the actress and singer? (still confused look)..she was in the Wizard of Oz? ANY of that sound familiar?"

Finally he said "Oh yeah I know who you mean now, she's Liza Minnelli's mother or something, right?

is this slightly disturbing to anyone else?

Its a sign of the times, and unfortunately, not a good one at all.

"I don't really get the ending, all i can go with is when after several months,Judith saw Pat sang, and later she kissed him on the toilet, after that the story back to where Pat went down from the stage after he'd sung, and he went to the italian lady.I just don't get it,what Judith exatcly meant when he kissed Pat that she had seen, and did Pat end up together with The Italian Lady? Please help me,thank u very much!" Many many years ago, I know someone who claims many year ago he went into a Video store to ask to rent the Mickey-Judy 'Babes in Arms'. The clerk responded, "I don't know that, but we do have 'Babes in Heat'!"

I'm still confused as to what you buying an AC adaptor has to do with Best Buy having no movie musical section.

Fair:

i take it she/he went to Best Buy to purchase an AC adapter and while she/he was there she went looking for the Musicals section and realized there wasn't one. So she then went to the cashier and asked him to do a search for JUDY GARLAND, yadda, yadda, yadda....

does that help? Updated On: 11/1/04 at 12:19 PM

Wait. SO he knows Liza, but not Judy? Does that mean he's only bisexual, then?

they phased out the Musicals section at all Best Buy stores here in Miami. they've lumped all the musical films with the "non-musical" films. picture this: they file "oklahoma!" under western. "my fair lady" is filed under drama. "grease" can be found in the comedy section.
