...back to the original post...
I had a similar experience this past weekend. I went to the local video store, looking for "Carousel". In the "classics" section, I found other R&H musicals such as King & I, Oklahoma, and Sound of Music. I found some less well-known stuff such as Irma La Douce. But no Carousel. Asked the clerk, he said he never heard of it. I told him it was a classic by Rodgers and Hammerstein. "Then I definitely never heard of it!" was his reply. It saddened me...

Granted, you'd think everyone would have heard Judy Garland's name but, really, it IS entirely possible to grow up with music other than showtunes.

"2 words
Proof Read"
First of all, proofread is ONE word. Look it up. It's in the dictionary. Under "P". Popcultureboy explained it very well (btw thanks for that - haven't been on much because of work) but just in case you are still confused, Fair, let me explain it to you in small words that you may understand:
I went to Best Buy to get an AC adapter (an adapter is something that gives power to your computer so you can use it). As most people would know, that particular store sells more than AC adapters so, as many often do, I ended up in the DVD section on my way to the register and then had the whole situation I described earlier.
So, you should know that Best Buy sells a variety of things in a variety of depts. Adapters (see definition above), CDs (you know, they record music on those, thus the need for a CD PLAYER which the store also sells), that kind of thing. So....just in case you weren't aware before now -- there you go.
You are obviously failed to see the correlation until now, so allow me to ask, have you ever gone to a store with intent to purchase something but then ended up stopping to look in a different dept. than originally intended? I mean, I can't be the only one on this board who has ventured off their originally planned path in a store like Best Buy and ended up stopping in another dept. and buying something else. Isn't that where the whole "impulse buy" term comes from?
I apologize to everyone that my post had so many typos, as I said, I had the flu and didn't check before I posted the message. I will strive to not have that happen in the future because obviously that has left poor Fair in a state of confusion. I do apologize for my post leading to that confusion. Your head must truly be spinning, Fair. But I'm sure that will not last too long.
Unfortunately I fear your uneducated self-righteous attitude is permanent so.....my condolences to your family.
