Well, almost final. I don't usually approve of Older Judy postings, but it's election night and I'm once again feeling robbed and drained of all hope and optimism, so tonight I don't mind so much the seasoned Judy, the damaged Judy, the been there/done that/got fired from the movie Judy.
So here's her last (sort of) statement on Over the Rainbow, The Mike Douglas Show, August 16, 1968:

I really like this one, too.
This one is supposedly the official last.

And now let her take us up, up up like a rosebud on a vine, with a song from the Broadway show: "Hey, Look Me Over" from Wildcat:

That thing that she's wearing over her slacks and blouse on The Mike Douglas Show, she wore over her red gown, when I saw her at her very last US concert, in Philadelphia.

My cheeks are aching from smiling during the "Hey, Look me Over" clip- made me look this one up- (just wish someone would post the original footage)...
Judy & June- Cleopatterer
By original footage, do you mean June in the movie or Judy and June on the TV show?
This is becoming like an Abbott and Costello routine.
I still have no idea which one you mean!!!
Do you mean the original "Cleopatterer" from the MGM film or do you mean a video clip of the audio you linked that Judy and June did on the television show?
First time on YouTube. An audio of the 1965 performance of "Over the Rainbow" at the Arie Crown on Chicago where Judy's voice faltered and she gave a rare spoken-word performance of the beloved song.

Well that is possibly my favorite youtube of the year. Bone chilling. Thanks, Pal Joey
Pal Joey, thank you so much for posting that first video. So haunting and beautiful. Her comments at the very end about finally getting over the rainbow ("We can all do it") were heartbreaking.
"Over the Rainbow" should just be retired. Nobody can do that song justice but her. Nobody. And I say that as somebody who just had this idea reaffirmed by the (mediocre) non-equity tour of The Wizard of Oz.
