After Eight said: "I saw it in a small off-Broadway production starring Tammy Grimes. It was a very good show with a lovely score by Michael Valenti. It's a shame it wasn't recorded. Valenti is a fine composer who deserves greater recognition."
I'd heard she did it, and was still including the songs in her cabaret a few years back. It is a shame it wasn't recorded- that would have been great.

I saw this show in Australia and actually recall nothing about it at all, apart from the really irritating, high pitched women's chorus at the start of Act 2. And its length.

I love that pic! It's like return to the '90's.
The director is listed as Fred Schepisi who has previously worked with (well, a lot of people, actually, including Meryl Streep in "Plenty") Rush and Judy Davis in the recent "Eye of The Storm" film. That might give a clue to the direction they're heading...

That's a perfect lineup- someone has to get Rush and Davis to do another film together- they have such a great, eccentric chemistry. Not exactly commercial, but fantastic nonetheless.
