I go to the hills when my heart is lonely
I know I will hear what I've heard before
My heart will be blessed with the sound of music
And I'll sing once more

Posted: 10/23/09 at 2:49pmMy guess is that Julie is holding out no hope for being able to sing again, but is doing this to further the research and development of a procedure to help those in the future with similar and worse vocal issues.

That would be amazing if it ever happens!!!
I'm sure she'll sing someday!! If not, her voice will live on for many many generations. I'm definitely going to raise my kids and grandkids on The Sound of Music and Mary Poppins. Same for nieces and nephews if I ever get them!

Nothing is off limits on Fridays!
I love Julie more than anything...she taught me how to sing. I'd love for this to be true.

Julie did sing in the Princes Diaries II a few years ago. I was not expecting it when I saw it and I nearly fell out of my chair in the theater. She does not sing like we wish she would, but still it was the best part of the movie for me.

Except, if she's going to bother with risky surgery, I'll be hoping for something closer to this:

She is still beautiful! Her and Sophia Loren keep getting better. Although,I have no idea why Julie would do something that looks as dumb as "Tooth Fairy"as her next film.
My all time favorite Julie clip.

Posted: 10/24/09 at 12:05amMy wife has been suffering with a paralyzed vocal cord for almost seven years. It was a result of nerve damage from a rare type of brain tumor which was about the size of a tennis ball. There are treatments available, but the one best suited for her involves surgery, and she's been reluctant due to the horrors she suffered through back then (too many to mention). Perhaps Julie's story can help inspire her.
