re: Julie/Carol - High Tea

no Addy don't cry, i was only imitating Mr. Banks when he says: "that poppins woman" because it made me laugh out loud when he did it!

"I don't really get the ending, all i can go with is when after several months,Judith saw Pat sang, and later she kissed him on the toilet, after that the story back to where Pat went down from the stage after he'd sung, and he went to the italian lady.I just don't get it,what Judith exatcly meant when he kissed Pat that she had seen, and did Pat end up together with The Italian Lady? Please help me,thank u very much!" Quote from someone on IMDB in reference to a movie he/she didn't understand. Such grammar!

Thanks, Cookie.

And, Marquise. I should have known you'd never say anything to hurt me, or Mary! *hug* re: Julie/Carol - High Tea

The Sound of Music, "stilted"!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! It's the most glorious, un-stilted musical film ever made!

re: Julie/Carol - High Tea

Actually, Glebby, I DO think the High Tea sketch is hilarious. They must have had an absolute ball rehearsing it. But how many times would they have had to wash their hair???

re: Julie/Carol - High Tea

I've never seen this show. I have seen the first two, though.

re: Julie/Carol - High Tea

isn't it about time for JULIE AND CAROL to do another special? (and honestly, i thought the high-tea skit was way too lucy and ethel.)

re: Julie/Carol - High Tea

The opening number is Sondheim's "Old Friends". They do a rap number about being 'mamas', a very funny sketch about the Phantom of the Opry, and another one of their marathon popular song medleys. They're always wonderful together.

re: Julie/Carol - High Tea

I like the medley in the original, the best. I love the way JA looks in the second one. What's the third one called? I'm sure my parents have it. They have everything JA.

Ha! He was quick. Julie and Carol Together Again. He does have it. He has all three. Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Together Again. He believes I have seen it; but I don't remember it. I remember the other two. He's sending me a copy.

re: Julie/Carol - High Tea

I'm positive I have Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center on videotape. Well, at least my parents do; but I'm pretty sure I do, as well. Also, I know they have Carnegie Hall on CD. Not sure about Lincoln Center.

re: Julie/Carol - High Tea

The thought that 'Julie and Carol' could possibly be mistaken for anyone other than Andrews and Burnett gives me a little pain somewhere deep in my heart.

re: Julie/Carol - High Tea

Why do you suppose they aren't on DVD? Clearance issues? I know my parents would love to replace their old worn-out video tape copies.
