#0Just purchased NYC Ballet workout video
Posted: 6/24/05 at 6:20pmHi, I am new here. I just purchased the NYC Ballet Workout video, and I am hoping to develop a lean, graceful body, like the dancers. I was wondering if someone could tell me how long it could take to see results, and maybe how many times a week I should do the tape to see results. Also, I am really trying to get in shape, is anyone a dancer here that could give me some good eating tips OR ANY HELPFUL TIPS? thanks so much

Well, I'm not a dancer, but to get in shape in general, eat less, exercise more. DON'T TAKE THESE IN EXAGGERATED FORMS.
Eat little portions more often...and do a lot more cardio (long-distance running, bicycling, etc.)

One of my favourite workout tapes
I used it to warmup before I went to my ballet class (3 times a week)
I find that the exercises on the tape really helped me strengthen my core (ab area) and definately saw results within 3 weeks

broadwaystar2b- Thanks so much, so would you say maybe doing it 3 times a week would help me see results? I am already thin, I just want to have a toned graceful body like a dancers. thanks so much, your results give me more confidence to keep up with it. Anyone else?

"would you say maybe doing it 3 times a week would help me see results?"
Absolutely, I would see the results during class because the tape's excercises really helped my placement. But keep in mind, I was also taking intense ballet/pre-pointe classes after I'd warmup to the video, so your results probably won't be as immediate as mine were simply because I was more than just the tape, if that makes since.
Best of luck!

I've been using that workout video for awhile, and you DO get quite a good workout. Just like Zoran said "It kicks my butt"
My only advice is to stick with it. After about a few months of doing it, I really didn't want to do it anymore because it is SUCH a workout...but I then smacked myself and realized that's what I've been LOOKING for.
Have fun!!
