I'm still curious about the KFC thing. If they don't accept any cards at all, I don't see it as that big of a deal, because ANY non-bank ATM is gonna charge you.
I swear I think I've used my card at KFC before.
Is this at all KFC's?

KFC's original recipe is soo good but that chicken? UGH! It doesn't even have the texture of meat! Its slimy! Yuk!
Oh, and apparently to get that special brand of KFC tenderness they treat the chickens horrifically.
Not, repeat NOT for the feint of heart
I used to like KFC, but the last couple of times I went, the chicken was lousy and the pieces were small and had very little meat on them (if you get a wing, they have about twice as much coating as meat). Church's is good (I especially love the fried livers), but they don't have any locations in my area. Popeye's is still my favorite, followed by Frenchy's.
I wish the Colonel would get round to wrapping his secret blend of herbs and spices round Quorn. It's a pretty horrible slimy chicken substitute, but then, so is KFC chicken. I miss that secret blend of herbs and spices since I gave up eating meat.
Well, that's easy to cure, Weez. Start eating meat again! YAY! I love animals. They're so yummy!
They are very delicious, I'll give you that. But uh... I'll pass. At least until they're treated less like food factories and more like living creatures.

I spoke with someone in the corporate office and they said some of the franchises are doing it on their own. I also called and spoke to the store manager and told him that I won't be eating there any more.
Phylis, as far as 'planning ahead' I use my debt card for almost everything and very rarely carry cash on me.
And I grew up on farms, so I've seen chickens killed by picking them up by the necks and swinging them around and then snapping them like a whip. The very same dance move that is the finale in Hairspray, btw. Every time I saw that move, I thought, "Mmmmm, chicken for dinner..."

No, I totally get that, but it happens to me sometimes. There's a little bodega near my office that I stop in sometimes when I'm at work. One time I went to use my card and they said they didn't take them, so I had to use their ATM (and of course pay an extra fee). It sucks, but it depends on how much want to buy what you want at the the time, which for you was chicken and for me American Spirits.
Diva, I so thought of you when I saw these costumes last night.
Sue, you just made my night!
