LOL. The comment above mine made me luagh! Anyway, I really like Katie. It will be wierd not having her on the today show but I think she'll do great at CBS!

With the 24/7 News cable stations, the three (Four?) Network's News programs are lagging in the ratings. If you notice, they are countering by making their evening News more Infotainment. Although I serious don't think Katie will fare well as a serious anchor, I do think her presence will boost ABC's ratings.

I thought the final day of Katie's run was nice. Matt Lauer seemed like he is generally going to miss her. Al Roker seemed choked up as well, but Anne Curry seemed like she was forcing some sort of emotion to feel sad. The performances were very good: Of course loved Idina and Trisha (nice touch) and Martina and Tony were great. Jersey Boy's redition of "Bye Bye Baby" as "Bye Bye Katie" was nice. The Shaiman piece was hysterical- I loved how Harvey kept saying he wanted to wake up next to Matt Lauer.
