the ONE day I don't watch the Today show and Katie has unusually scary hair. Dang.

I stopped watching the Today Show awhile ago. (Would it hurt them to put in some REAL news?) But after this topic popped up, just had to check it out.... Ick.

I like some of the women who fill in on the news desk.
And, BT, I will make a note of that.

Ann and I need to go out shopping - too many outfit repeats. I have been a loyal fan of hers for years. My other half is all about Katie. Silly boy.

That's too funny. I woke up this morning, lazily reached for the remote, flipped to the Today Show, and shot straight up saying "what the hell is up w/ Katie Couric's hair?!?!?" It was some kind of awful this morning! She's been rather freakish in her entire look lately. Did anyone catch that frumpy peasant frock she had on a few weeks ago...an utter train wreck!

The Today Show historically hires women with bad hair. Jane Pauley's coiff was frightening daily during her tenure.
The truly beautiful should be lawfully restricted from wearing clothing; and the truly butt-ugly should be lawfully mandated from going naked.

Wasn't it "designed" to stay out of her eyes for the Vollyball segment? She still looked like Peppermint Patty.
The real question, while we're on the subject, is whassup with the make-up? Her mascara is very reminiscent of Ethel Merman's in GYPSY, the old school type applied by melting a candle-like stick of black? Some days, it's so thick, she's close to Tammy Faye. I don't get it.

thanks for the report. i had to walk past their set to go to work for over a year and i can't bear to see al roker humiliated one more time by dressing up as a farmer or wearing a kilt or whatever. i can't handle morning tv people. i'm over sensitive at that time of day. seeing the awkward train wreck that was deborah norville made me feel like i was in high school again -- the girl who just couldn't quite fit in although she tried SO hard. glad i didn't see it today. seeing bad hair in the morning sets such a bad precedent for the rest of the day. i must admit i heart diane sawyer. never a bad hair day, or a bad anything day, really.
