Ok this is a I love Liza thread. Lets see if we can keep it positive and stick to her as a artist and performer.

I think the woman is amazing. Can't wait to see her in concert again this July. She sounded pretty good at the kander and ebb shinding a few months ago. And even with all the hip replacements and brain deseases, throat surgerys, and alcholism; she still knows hot to sell a number. And she is hysterical on the Fox show ( Arrested Development)

"Liza With A Z" should be released on dvd and it should be required viewing for any aspiring performer. The work of both Liza and Bob Fosse is outstanding in this made for television concert.

Why hasn't "Liza With A Z " been released on dvd?
Anyway; I have all her albums. Her live ones are the best. I also have many of her concerts on tape or Laser ( yes LASER).

Liza is one of the greatest entertainers out there.
Her stage and screen prescence is incomparable.

I loved it when she sang "New York New York" For me no one else can do it justice. Yes even Mr. Frank can not hold a candle to her rendition.

Oh, I miss my laserdiscs. Sorry but the quality of laser disc is far superior to dvd. Don't you agree, Dame?

Her performance of "Back in Business" on the 'Sondheim: A Celebration at Carnegie Hall' DVD is outstanding. She is so talented....one of the best ever.

I was backstage at a recent Broadway show not too long ago, and Liza was there after seeing the matinee. She actually started singing a number from the show and danced a little bit. UH! It was great. lol I felt like I was at a private concert. She's also just so incredibly nice.

Dame, where is she performing in July? I feel deprived. The only time I've seen her in concert was the Christmas Spectacular at Town Hall 2 years ago.

*On another note, I watched Arthur earlier today, well wait it's technically Wednesday (even though I haven't been to bed all night) so I watched it yesterday. :) I really like that movie.

She is performing in Atlanta July 23 . Then on to a few other dates. Type her name in ticketmaster and you will see the schedule.

I have some bad news for you. If you watched only one hour then you missed half the show. It was a 2 hour edition.

Yes I am excited. We got the airline tickets, we got the concert tickets, we got the hotel reserved, and we got the car rented. LIZA HERE I COME!

Just have to get over the next few days. My parents are coming to visit and they are insisting on staying with me and not a hotel. i need a Mojito NOW!

We usually stop at Eatzi's (a gourmet prepared foods emporium closeby) and bring food from there. You will have tons of choices. Very pop-u-lar with the Chastain crowd! This would be my suggestion.

There are 2 in-house caterers at Chastain. You have to call the day ahead and order food that will be available for you to pick up at the show. I've used Proof of the Pudding there before. It's easy, but a little more expensive.

Don't forget the wine and votive candles!

How much earlier do people start arriving and picnicing? And how much time do Dame and I need to give oursleves to get their from the hotel?

By the way people; A & E is re-running the bio this weekend. it is truly spectacular. With footage of her rehearsing and footage of Liza with a Z. ( which proves that somewhere out there someone has a good copy of it that shold be released on dvd) Updated On: 6/23/04 at 01:29 PM

Honey; I don't know what it is you have but Liza With a Z to my knowledge is not available. The cd is. But not the show. Unless you know something I don't and then you need to PM me immediately.
