Okay, I just watched this for the first time tonight and I'm hooked for life.

I think it's some sort of animal cloning/genetic engineering facility that had some critter get out of control and kill all the scientists and the government has kept it quiet... or something.

I doubt there's some sort parallel universe thing here, but I could be wrong.

Of all the new shows this year, this is my only must watch.

By the way, if you were to go to the Artic and capture a polar bear and then turn it loose on a tropical island, the polar bear would lose some body fat, shed some hair, then look for something to eat.

yea, the Lincoln Park Zoo (in Chicago) caught some crap because the polar bears there turn kind pinkish and shed a lot of hair in the summer. Of course, when every zoologist in the country said the bears were fine, the people who complained had to eat crow.

I frickin love this show!

I hope JJ Abrams doesn't let it get stupid... like he did with Alias.

I truly don't get the appeal of this show. I think it's boring, cheesy, and ridiculous. And by the look of that polar bear, they must of blew their entire special effects budget on the crash. What was that? A guy in a faux-fur? I think they should make it really campy. Remember that 1960's show "Land of the Giants"? They used to hide in pencil holders and desk drawers. Now that was classic T.V. That's the direction they should go in. That, and have special guest stars each week, a la "Fantasy Island". Joan Collins could show up one week as Drucillica, Evil Island Empress. And maybe Charo could guest star as enslaved Island Girl, Coochita. Now that would be worth setting my VCR for!
