Where did this all start? I’ve read in several threads where someone has been LUPWNED, and have more or less figured out what it means to be LUPWNED, but don’t know what, if anything, it’s a reference to. I feel like it’s part of some inside joke that I’m outside of. I’ve tried to search through some older threads to see if I could find where it originated on the board, but I can’t find any explanations. I just keep reading anecdotes in witch an individual has an encounter of a certain variety with Ms. Lupone followed by the decree from anther poster “You’ve been LUPWNED!” If someone could explain, or link me to the thread, where this all started I’d really appreciate it.
Thanks
I'd like to know too. I read so many threads posted tonight with that expression in it....

Thanks. I wish the original lakezurich's posts were still around. I had read those other threads before, and pretty much been able to piece together what you explained. I just thought that perhaps there was more to it. Guess not.
It's sort of like being PattiLuPonePunchedInTheHead, only less painful.
I dont know who "trademarked" LuPwned, but I've been saying it for a few years. So, whatever...
Here is the origin of the term "pwned"

Yeah, I was gonna say, I've been using LuPwned for more than a year now. Definitely didn't start with those threads.
Thanks...

I knew what you meant...you gave a great explanation. Class dismissed!!!
I have been LuPwned and consider it one of the highlights of my otherwise barren exsistence. Yeah, I said it.
It has its own Urban Dictionary page, submitted in August of 2006.
LUPWNED
Those definitions don't match what I thought it meant. I thought it meant to be treated in a curt manner by LuPone.

Call me old. I just don't 'get it'

LakeZurich was the first I saw use it. Now everytime I talk to him on Yahoo IM, He comes in with "You just got Lupwned!" It's his catchprhase.
CJR, see the link I posted to the Urban Dictionary page explaining what "pwn" means.

Oh I saw it. I still don't get it.
IE: I think it's stupid and pointless and makes no effing sense at all. I never thought I'd say this, but "kids today!"
