Last Minute Broadway Tickets?!

hello, i'm going to NYC for the first time in my LIFE this week and i was looking for some last minute tickets to In the Heights and the Little Mermaid.

Does anyone know of a good place to get tickets that aren't to outrageous? I would really appreciate it.

You've set your eye on two shows that are doing capacity or nearly so business.

There are no discounts on these except maybe at the TKTS booth. Check there. It is on West 46th next to Heights and across the street from Mermaid. Also the back of the house for Mermaid is 40-45 and the back at Heights is like 31. Ask at the box offices if there are any tix. That's where I saw both of these shows from and the view especially at the Richard Rodgers isn't bad.

If these shows are sold out go see something else--anything. Don't sulk or wait for a ticket to magically appear. Look at what else is playing and have a backup plan. Weekends sell out far quicker than weekdays.

In The Heights has a lottery. You can go to the theatre about an hour and half before hand, enter your name and see if you get picked. If your picked you'll get a ticket for about 25 dollars.

I don't know the specifics for ITH. Check on their website.

I bought a ticket to In the Heights on the 9th the day of, but there were only 3 single seats left. I didn't have the best view of the show either.

I suggest getting tickets in advance as early as you can.
