I didn't see MILLION DOLLAR BABY coming at all. I thought it was something completely undeserving, until the change in tone. And then, the film made sense, and moved me to tears.

I preferred THE HOURS over CHICAGO as well. I preferred GANGS OF NEW YORK over CHICAGO as well, come to think of it.

TRAINSPOTTING was not a good movie. Like popculture said - one of the WORST adaptations EVER. The book is excellent - moving, even. The movie is completely deplorable.
