Law and Order, or, Sam Waterston looks awful

I caught a new Law and Order the other night and I have to say that Sam Waterston looks awful. He's 65. I think he's great on the show, but time for retirement.

If he does leave the show, what do y'all think will happen? Who could possibly replace Jack McCoy?

Not when I saw him. He had deep wrinkles, bags under his eyes and he looked frumpy.

"Hey, I would still do Sam Waterston!"

That's wrong on so many levels.

Why? is he forgetting his lines? has he stopped showing up to work on time? Is he making it a hell on earth for his co-stars?

or is it just because you want everyone on TV to resemble the cast of The OC?

When he's gone ... L&O will be that much more sucky. I adore his character (I wouldn't do him, but he's awesome).

How is it wrong?!? Older men are hot (even if they're 40 years older than I am) and Mr. Waterston has a totally hot voice. He also has one of the kindest faces I've seen in the media. I don't see anything wrong with it.

I didn't say anything about wanting the cast to look like the OC. I don't even watch the OC.

When did I say it was wrong?

I've just been observing him from the early shows to now. He's aging. I didn't say anything was wrong with it.

And I didn't say we shoot boot him to Deep Wrinkle Island.

Of course he's aging... we're all aging. Fact of life. There's no need to get him off the air because he's aging...

sorry C_O, I thought when you posted that he "should retire" you actually meant for him to leave the show.

So you meant he should retire but stay on the show? Ok now I get it.

He looks awful by C_O's standards. What more is there to say?

How about this? I bet if he flashed a wad of cash around he'd sudddenly look more appealing.

I saw Sam Waterson at the Barbara Cook and Elaine Stritch concert. He looked great. (and was in the company of a beautiful woman.)
I stand corrected, you are as vapid as they say.
