Don't know why it took me so long to figure this out.
"Legitimate rape" happens in a drama.
"Illegitimate rape" happens in a musical.
Examples:
Legitimate rape: Extremities
Illegitimate rape: Man of La Mancha
Legitimate rape: A Streetcar Named Desire
Illegitimate rape: STREETCAR!

I thought illegitimate rape was the sexual assault on a person whose parents weren't married at the time of birth.
I'm confused.

"Illegitimate" rape is when only women say it happened and they're lying to get free abortions, because, you know, they like getting abortions.
"Legitimate" rape is when men grudgingly have to agree that it happened, because, you know, like her arm is broken or there are cum stains.
But in any case, the life of the successful sperm ("Go, sperm, GO!") is more important than the life of the woman who has been beaten, kicked, stabbed, had her face banged repeatedly into walls or floors or tree trunks, forced to suck unwelcome and uninvited cock, humiliated, penetrated against her will and, often, left to die.
But the sperm, once it fertilizes that egg--and, you know that egg WANTED it!--the sperm must win.
Oh, and rapists, if not convicted, can sue for parental rights and visitation.
