Check out this underrated actress in an Oscar-nommed performance in this 1963 film, still not on DVD.

Nor is her other Oscar-nommed perf in "Lili".

Ms. Caron will be Mme. Armfeldt to Kristin Scott Thomas's Desiree in ALNM in Paris in February.

Now that's casting!!!

Ms. Caron is also publishing her memoirs this month, I believe. Check Amazon.

LILI is superb, as is L-SHAPED ROOM. Both are on DVD in Europe but not here. . .

LILI is one of the few MGM musicals that is dark and that also features a good perf by Zsa Zsa Gabor. :)

Well, Lili is not really a musical. It has one song, "Hi Lili Hi-Lo," and one dream ballet near the end. That's it. In fact, it won the scoring Oscar for Best Dramatic Score (not musical).

I agree that Zsa Zsa is good in this! She's wonderful in Moulin Rouge (1952), too. She managed to make a couple of good ones, at least. In as many years.
