The Olympic competition begins today!

There has been soooo much chatter about security, hotels, toothpaste, computer hacking, and terrible issues in Russia. It's time to celebrate the athletes, who are seeing their dreams to compete in the Olympic Games come true.

The Opening Ceremony is tomorrow, but the competition begins today.

Congratulations to all of the Athletes. Can't wait to see who brings home the Gold!
I'll look forward to celebrating their accomplishments with anyone who wants to post about it.

Here's hoping the athletes can break through all the negative events and energy and once again demonstrate the indomitabilty of the human spirit.

I'll be rooting for 19-year-old figure skater Jason Brown.

I fly over on Monday!

And, Taz - I am staying in the 'mountain cluster' at a hotel that is already built and is (according to my colleagues who are already there) really lovely.
(Apparently they've added staff during our stay who are well-schooled in 'international hotel' needs and also have a background in security!)

I promise to stay safe.
