As much as I hate to say it, I think we're in for the most partisan, angry 4 years in a very long time!

JOHN LITHGOW I just realized, your last name is Butz! Both "Norbert" AND "Butz" are in your name! You must have gotten picked on a lot as a child!

I never agreed with that sentiment. I voted *against* a platform that I find on many levels offensive and detrimental to our nation and our world.

I'll continue to fight that platform every step of the way.

I thought his speech was gracious. In order to move forward we will have to work together. Here's to looking toward the center.

Healing? I'm with JohnPopa. I've been fighting the misguided Bush agenda since he got in office four years ago and I see no reason to stop now. I will do everything I possibly can to make sure that Bush doesn't get his agenda pushed any further since I feel it's damaging to me and the country as a whole. But that's the great thing about living in the US. If I'm not happy about what's going on I can make my voice heard. Forget healing, it's time to keep fighting.

With all due respect to Senator Kerry, when my right to EXIST is attacked by an administration, finding a sense of healing is tough.

JohnPappa and company... just remember that hatred and opposistion can go both ways.

I think Kerry did a good thing by conceeding. If it had gone to the provisional ballots, then for every ballot that got shot down, the liberals could say "Bush was appointed not elected" for another four years.

By the way, I will be done gloating by... probably tomorrow sometime.

I don't believe healing means surrender - there is great healing to be found in continuing the fight.

However, healing rarely happens with hatred or with self righteous pride.

My wish and purpose in posting that quote was to encourage the passionate people of Broadway world to stop demeaning each other, agree to disagree and take their passion and change the world. That's what America is all about!

How do we heal? How do we put a positive 'spin' on this? I normally try to have a positive outlook on situations, but I dislike the man and what he stands for so vehemently that I just don't know how to make amends.

A friend just reminded me that although we all disagree, we all are unified in the fact that we did vote and believe in the democratic process. I guess that is a start.

How do we heal when the president has absolutely no mandate for change...he will keep doing what he has been doing, if that. AND, civil rights are being slashed faster than unwanted weeds in a garden. And what about the Supreme Court...if you are a woman, you better be FRIGHTENED.
