Lili (1953) finally released on DVD

Warner Archive Collection has finally released MGM's 1953 film, "Lili" starring Leslie Caron (in her first Oscar nominated role), Mel Ferrer, Jean-Pierre Aumont and Zsa Zsa Gabor.

I say, it's about time. I think this is the film's very first DVD release!

It's actually been out for a while now (closing in on a year), but I haven't bought it yet. I almost ordered it at Christmastime along with Caron's The Glass Slipper, but picked a few other titles instead.

Have you ordered it, Carlos? How is the picture and sound?

Oh wow, this one escaped me. Had no idea it's been out for almost a year. I haven't purchased it yet, but I am planning to along with The Glass Slipper. I'm hoping Gaby is not too far behind.

Gone are the days I could hop on down to Virgin or Best Buy, browse and pick up some of my favorite classics. They've all been relegated for the most part to these MOD programs the studios have adopted.
