When the first trailer for "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" makes its U.S. premiere tomorrow night during ABC's showing of "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets" — airing at the same time in 30-plus countries — viewers are apt to gaze in wonder. And be taken aback....

I'm SO looking forward to this. Back when I was in collage, we workshopped a musical called LWW and then it became Narnia and went on to play for a while on Broadway years ago.

Can't wait to see what Disney does with the material.

I thought it looked great. It will never beat that awful BBC adaption of Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe though. that has to be one of the funniest movies of all time, it was so bad.

J'ai compris tous les mots, j'ai bien compris, merci.............

Just saw the trailer. WOW! It looks like LOTR. Very BIG and beautifully filmed.

I'm excited!

I actually have a special fondness for the BBC LWW. I grew up on it and still love it. Yes not the best effects wise, but it had a lot of heart.

I agree, Eponine! I've seen that version so many times you can't even imagine; I loved it when I was little (I still do).

Read the story way back in the day and watched the BBC movie. I loved the movie at the time, but I believe I was only in 2nd grade at the time.

I loved the books, and the original BBC movies- my family had them all on video when I was little. Yes, they were a bit tacky, (my siblings and I mocked Lucy and her overbite to this day) but I'm not sure about this movie. I'm just worried that the whole story will be lost in all the special effects, and it will just be seen as another Lord of the Rings/Harry Potter/blockbuster fantasy series.

this was the night of Teasers, we had Harry Potter Goblet of Fire and Narnia. I was more intrestered in the Harry Potter, since im dying for the movie and the new book. the Narnia Trailer is online at moviefone.com and the Potter one is up at Apple.com/trailers just incase anyone missed it. Narnia looks like a good movie but i need to see more of it to make any judgements on it. but i hope both films are awesome

EDIT: NARNIA IS UP PUT WHERE YOU CAN FIND IT

need to defrag my brain.

If they can make LOTR into a hit movie without losing the story, I think they'll be able to pull this off. There's nothing wrong with it being a blockbuster fantasy series. Certianly made a lot of money for LOTR folks.

Looking at the Narnia trailer I must say that it does look a bit too Disney. I know they desperately want a PG rating. So making it really dark and gothic and awsome looking might not be the way to go. I'm keeping my fingers crossed
