Think about it.
While we wallow about in our life, we are taking away valuable space that could be occupied with someone of a higher moral and ethical standing. Each breath of air we take is one less for someone else.
There are people, no doubt, of high moral and noble standing. Unfortunately, most of us do not qualify. Yet, we think we are. We think that our lives hold some sort of significance or that we "deserve" to continue living.
Anyone else agree?

Put DOWN the bong, get OFF your ass, and MAKE something of your stupid life.
Elphaba, you're so arrogant! The bandwidth you wallowed in with that post took away valuable bandwidth that could be used by someone of a higher moral and ethical standing. Each post you make is one less for someone else!

That spiel reminded me of something the guy from SAW would say.
Is my challenge to put away the laptop within the next hour or I'll have no life?
Wonder...I love you!
So, what, two people should be allowed to live?
so what do you suggest? a mass suicide?

you can't make something of your life without something to mold.
there has to be something there.
I really can't tell if you are trying to be deep, philosophical and intellectual and failing miserably or if you're joking.

hence why both of us fall into the latter category
Cruel, the thought that everyone's life does not have a purpose is kind of depressing. So, I'm going to have to say living is not arrogant. Because, everyone is living for a reason.

i would disagree.
some are here to do great things.
the rest are here for inexplicable reasons.
What are you expecting someone to say, Cruel?
Yes, you are arrogant for living.
Yes, you are not morally perfect, nor are you ethically perfect, therefore your life and everything that you do is meaningless.
Yes, you do not qualify to keep on living.
Yes, you may never do anything that is thought of as great so why even try.
Is that what you are looking for?
Okay. Well, there.
Give me a break.

"I really can't tell if you are trying to be deep, philosophical and intellectual and failing miserably or if you're joking."
The answer is yes.
just beacuse you might think someone is a waste of space does not mean the whole world does.
"you can't make something of your life without something to mold.

total cop-out, total bull-sh**
life is what YOU make it, you can sit and whine and groan and be miserable, or you can DO something.
as Mame Dennis said...'Life is a banquet, and most poor suckers are starving to death!"

if anyone is here for explicable things, then no one is here for inexplicable things
CS, your premise indicates laziness, not arrogance

Break out the Kool-Aid!!!

You are my new favorite poster based on clarity of statement alone.
I think this thread title/original post is pretty arrogant.

Listen to her, Cruel, they say it takes one to know one.
You just proved your own point! Brilliant!
Wow, Cruel!
People are trained to help you! Seek help!
If we were arrogant wouldn't that imply that we had a choice to be here in the first place. I personally did not ask to be born. It was the result of a drunken gropefest and a broken profilactate.
