Living: The Ultimate Act of Arrogance

Think about it.

While we wallow about in our life, we are taking away valuable space that could be occupied with someone of a higher moral and ethical standing. Each breath of air we take is one less for someone else.

There are people, no doubt, of high moral and noble standing. Unfortunately, most of us do not qualify. Yet, we think we are. We think that our lives hold some sort of significance or that we "deserve" to continue living.

Anyone else agree?

Elphaba, you're so arrogant! The bandwidth you wallowed in with that post took away valuable bandwidth that could be used by someone of a higher moral and ethical standing. Each post you make is one less for someone else!

That spiel reminded me of something the guy from SAW would say.

Is my challenge to put away the laptop within the next hour or I'll have no life?

So, what, two people should be allowed to live?

I really can't tell if you are trying to be deep, philosophical and intellectual and failing miserably or if you're joking.

re: Living: The Ultimate Act of Arrogance

Cruel, the thought that everyone's life does not have a purpose is kind of depressing. So, I'm going to have to say living is not arrogant. Because, everyone is living for a reason.
I have NEVER met Cheyenne Jackson. I have never hung out with him in his dressing room, he did not tweet me, he never bought me a beverage, and he mostly certainly didn't tickle me. . .that is all.

re: Living: The Ultimate Act of Arrogance

What are you expecting someone to say, Cruel?

Yes, you are arrogant for living.
Yes, you are not morally perfect, nor are you ethically perfect, therefore your life and everything that you do is meaningless.
Yes, you do not qualify to keep on living.
Yes, you may never do anything that is thought of as great so why even try.

Is that what you are looking for?
Okay. Well, there.

Give me a break.

just beacuse you might think someone is a waste of space does not mean the whole world does.

I think this thread title/original post is pretty arrogant.

re: Living: The Ultimate Act of Arrogance

If we were arrogant wouldn't that imply that we had a choice to be here in the first place. I personally did not ask to be born. It was the result of a drunken gropefest and a broken profilactate.
