Apparantly E has confirmed the cocaine find.
People like Lohan can afford to crack up their car multiple times... they can afford the lawyers... they can afford their illegal drugs...
...but they can't afford a private driver on call? I'm not encouraging anyone's habbit, but does no one think to call "Jeeves" for a ride home at a time like that?
Oh, wait, that would be responsible.
And responsibility isn't something that is part of this lifestyle.
I think that some people need to take the degrading, accusatory, finger pointing, nasty comments and really think about the situation.
She obviously has a problem. Whether she's an alcoholic or not; whether she's a drug addict or not. One behaves in this way is a pretty self-destructive person. I know it's easy to look at her and think that she's got it easy (successfull, beautiful, millionaire) but I bet you she doesn't.
I do feel sorry for her and I honestly hope she straightens out her life and gets the help she needs, if that's what she truly does need. It's not easy - so unless you've been there yourself, back off.
I would also like to see a show of hands from people here who have gotten behind the wheel of a car when drunk. But you are not plastered (no pun intended) all over the tabloids every time you slip up. Give the girl a break.

Lindsay's car has scented seats? Considering her propensity for going without undies, I dread to think what her car seats smell like...
Yes, thank you Sueleen.
And thank you Munk and Suleen. It's easy for others to make fun of a celeb. when we are just as vulnerable.

I still think she needs to get away from her mother's influence.
I agree.
Her family life has been rocky since she was a little girl, and growing up in the spotlight is unimaginably difficult.
I don't necessarily know any specifics about her mother, but there are lots of reports of her mother using cocaine with Lindsay. Could be tabloid gossop, but I can see it happening.
Her mother is an attention hungry woman who lives through her daughter. It's time for "white oprah" to grow up.
While we're showing hands here... I'd like to see how many of you feel that alcoholism, drug dependency or any other disease, affliction or condition, somehow excuses your responsibility on the road (or anywhere else on the planet, for that matter).
Does she have a problem? Yes.
Should she be held responsible and accountable for any and all of her actions? Yes.
Should she be shown understanding and compassion? Yes.
She needs help and serious rehabilitation, most definitely.
It's time to pay the piper now.
And to run from the scene, and have the car removed is SO WRONG in SO MANY ways.
Best12, I wasn't referring to you or to what you were saying. I was talking about the people making fun of her.
Diva, she was brought to the hospital. That would have happened in ANY situation.

Serious word to that- if I'm going to feel sorry for someone it is for the Ordinary Joe who gets sent directly to jail, and doesn't even get the rehab option, for a first offense.
Or I'll feel sorry for that guy down in Texas a while ago- Tyrone Brown, violated his parole by smoking pot and was sentenced to life in prison by the same judge who let John Alex Wood, a murderer on parole vho violated his parole by smoking crack, off of his probation entirely. (Yes Brown is poor and black, while Wood is white and well-connected, but that has oh no nothing to do with it, natch.)
There are at least a good few thousand people who I will feel sorry for before La Lohan enters the list.
And since we're all raising hands here, I'll play:
- # of times I've driven drunk: none
- # of times I've crashed on someone's floor because I've been to drunk to drive: several
- # of times someone has crashed on my floor because he/she was too drunk to drive: several
- # of times I've been slapped by a drunk person because I took her keys away: one
- # of accidents I got into in about six years of driving in l.a.: one, ruled not my fault (I had the right of way and a driver making a left in front of me caused it)

There's being brought to the hospital by someone, and there's fleeing the scene of an accident, where is the line?
The paparazzi would have been all over that in a heartbeat, if they already weren't chasing her.
She's going to be held accountable for the DUI and the cocaine anyway.
I'm not saying people sould feel sorry for her. I'm just saying that she's a young girl. Don't judge things you know nothing about.
Anekela, we all know the legal system sucks and favors the rich and famous and WHITE. I am glad to hear the you are a responsible drinker and don't drive drunk or let friends do the same.
Unfortunately for most people, alcohol reduces your reasoning and causes loss of judgment causing people to do things they would never do sober. Just because Lohan didn't get life in prison because some unfortunate poor black person in Texas DID is no reason to hate HER. Hate the system.
Again, the voice of reason.
"Diva, she was brought to the hospital."
Uhm, she was flimed RUNNING from the scene. She couldn't have been THAT injuried. And you are SUPPOSED to wait for the police. The only thing to justify her being taken to the hospital before the police arrived is if she were bleeding and her life was in danger. It clearly wasn't.
And, what WAS the reason for moving the car before the police arrived?
I wonder if Svedka Vodka is still going to sponsor her 21st Birthday Party.

Unfortunately, counseling that is ordered for a person that isn't ready for recovery rarely helps.
I'm glad she was stopped before she hurt herself or someone else. I don't think she deserves to have her crimes taped and broadcast on TV, but she should be face criminal punishment.
i know its mean, but that made me laugh. what an idiot.
Hey, Marc: Looks like not, according to IMDB:
"Vodka company Svedka has reportedly pulled out as sponsors of Lindsay Lohan's 21st birthday party in Las Vegas this summer . The Mean Girls actress, who has attended Alcoholics Anonymous in the past, had teamed up with the drinks company for her glitzy two-day bash on July 2, but it appears Svedka has had second thoughts about their involvement in the celebrations, according to the New York Daily News. Other sponsors for the landmark birthday celebrations include Pure nightclub, Caesars Palace and the Social House restaurant at Treasure Island."

I feel so bad for her. I actually think that she could be very talented if she got her sh!t together. Unlike Paris, Ms. Lohan has talent and possible a purpose on this planet.
