I remember watching OCTOPUSSY and thinking that he would make a much better James Bond than Roger Moore.

Roger Moore as James Bond was perfect as the films than tended to become ridiculous parodies. Jordan would had brought class to the proceedings which, at the time, was not what the producers wanted.

Very sad news.
He was so wonderful in Gigi.
He was also excellent in 13 Rue de L'Amour on Broadway, and in a road tour of Gigi in the role of Honoré.

He died at home aged 93, so let's not be too sad - we should all be so lucky. His only child, Louis Jr., died of a drug overdose aged 30 in 1981. Now that's sad.

Read about Clear Day last night from Second Act trouble. Really felt sorry for him as he apparently wanted to succeed in the worst way but it was not to be. He simply was not up to the vocal demands of the show. Great music but a troubled show from day one.
