Love this song.
As do I. That is actually my wife's favorite song and she is not even a theatre fan.
It's in my iTunes Library and I listen over and over.
I love it, too, Glebby.
i sang it at a friends wedding a few years ago.
Wow! That is cool Addy.
What makes it so wonderful?

It is a great song and for once I know one of Glebb's many culturally diverse references.
I would have sang that at my wedding, if I thought I could get through it without crying. So, my church music director sang "Unexpected Song" which is another ALW beauty.
Glebby, I think the lyrics are so true... and the melody is lovely. And powerful, with the build-up and the key change.
The only person who can do this song justice (in my opinion) is Michael Ball. I mean, Anthony Warlow (VOCAL GOD) sang this song on his cd and still could not match Michael Ball's interpretation . . . and that says a lot.
I can still see Bernnie singing "Unexpected Song".
By George, you're right Addy!
Michael Ball's version is perfect!
(but you haven't heard mine... )
Not yet!
By George, you're right, Glebby!
I'm liking Michael Ball.
iTunes says I've already listened 10 times.
I also downloaded "The Music Goes Round and Round" by Tommy Dorsey but I keep listening to "Love Changes Everything".
I went to see that show over and over... just to see him and hear him sing that song.
There are some other really lovely parts to the show, too.

Wow, lucky Addy.
We should, brd.
I was, Glebby! I really was... It wasn't the most popular ALW show, but I really loved it...
Alas, I never saw the show but I love the cast recording.
I also love this song, one of ALW's best. And since ALW is my girlfriend's favorite composer, the song has a special meaning for us.
The CD for the second act is in my car CD changer; when I forget my iPod, I listen to the CD over and over. I really do like the show. Love Julietta Trapani's funeral song.
The ALW trio from My Favorite Bway Leading Ladies has Audra singing Love Changes Everything; she's pretty darned perfect, too. That track is never out of the top 10 or 15 on my most often played playlist.

Bta, I too, love Audra's version on that dvd. I love that entire number. When she and Marin and Judy all come together to sing "I never thought I'd come to this..." Sigh. I almost wet myself just thinking about it.
Right?? It's as beautiful as any Puccini trio.
Well, that's a bit of hyperbole, I suppose, but it's beautiful nevertheless. When Audra sings:
Off
Into the world we go,
Planning futures,
Shaping years...
She's singing with such force, she's almost shouting (but in total control, of course). It's positively thrilling.

Bta, I'm so with you. Man, I think I'm gonna crack that DVD out.
