Wow, wouldn't ya' think that if you make it to 70 with FORTY years together that you'd be good to go? Just seems so odd.
(Truth be told, I was pretty sure that he died a number of years ago. Guess not.)

Dragon has Parkinson's. There is speculation that the divorce is happening because of rising medical bills, and the divorce is a move to salvage some of their assets.
"Do that to me one more time, once is never enough with a man like you". Is that a complement or an insult?
I always felt it was the later.
Back in my drinking days, "Do That To Me One More Time" was my karaoke fave.

I always wonder about that, dmama. My now-husband and I have been together for 37 years and, honestly, the "big issues" that would cause a break-up were worked out decades ago.
Of course, people have every right to grow apart, but it does strike me as odd (and kind of sad) after so many years. In my case, I have trouble even imagining a split.
I would be surprised if this was because of the medical bills. After 40 years and Parkinson's Disease coming on in 2010 for him, it just sounds like an odd and unfortunate time in life to split. Not that there's ever a good time.
