I am mad.
I'm sure it's a marketing gimmick but why are all the charms on the top?
I poured myself a bowl yesterday and was so happy because there were so many charms.
I just poured myself a bowl now and there are barely any charms.
This happens all the time and I DON'T LIKE IT!!!! *Pouts*
Just do what my brother and I used to do... take two bowls, separate the oat cereal from the marshmallows. Then, throw out the oats. Put marshmallows back into the box. Voila! No more disappointment, AND a sugar fix that will last for hours.
Or you could turn the box on its side and shake it before each pouring to evenly distribute the charms.
I was in a show once wherein I played an Irish townsperson, who was attending an Irish Wake. The idiot director came over to me and a small group of choristers, and said: "Now, in this scene, I just want you to act Irish."...and that is all the direction we got from him in the entire production.
After that, we would walk around mumbling under our breath: "Hearts, Moons, Stars and Clovers, for f*cks sake!"
I just eat 'em right out of the box until I can't find any more marshmallows, and then I throw 'em away. On the top five of my TV snacks. Of course, part of the attraction is that the box says that there are only 110 calories per cup. But I'm guessing my method kind of skews their calculation.

Trivia - Jason Graae was the voice of 'Lucky' for five years - and he really is an impish little leprechaun
How cute. :)
I did not know that, DG! Nice little job.

I also get even amounts of charms, usually. But sometimes I pick them out and eat them. Maybe someone is doing that. You'll be surprised. My father does it all the time, and he's always talking about calories, fat, sugar and how bad they are.

More TV voice-over trivia - Jeff McCarthy (Urinetown)was the voice of "Michigan J. Frog" - the WB Network mascot who used to come on between shows and sing things like, "Hey, it's time for Dawson's Creek - viewer discretion adv-iiiiiiii-sed!"
And I don't know if this was national, regional, or just in Chicago, but Faith Prince was the "Hey, Culligan Man!" lady.
Methinks it's because those marshmallow charms are lighter than the flakes/cheerios/whatever (I haven't eaten Lucky Charms in awhile), so they would make their way to the top...? But I don't remember if that line of wisdom works for solids.
It does. You're right Mr Blue. That's why you have to do what I suggested earlier in the thread to redistribute the marshmallow.
I had a bowl this morning. I'm only about 1/3 of the way through the box and there weren't a lot of marshmellows. I wasnt in an oat mood, so i actually threw away about half of what i poured out. I feel bad about it!

I don't think shaking them in the box will really mix them. Maybe next time I'll put them in a tupperware container and give it a good shake.

you know what I hate about Lucky Charms? when you are eating them they leave that icky film on your spoon. ew.
yea, they do... i ignore it though and keep enjoying its marshmallowy goodness
My family used to get upset with me, because I would dig through when they weren't looking and ONLY eat the marshmallows, because I don't like the cereal.
Then, there were CHOCOLATE Lucky Charms.

Haha Emcee, I used to do that when I was little and my brother would say "My luckies have left!!"
