Why must a pro-Lorna thread have to devolve into an anti-Liza Thread? Can't we love them both?

I gotta admit, I am very mixed on Lorna - mainly because she's much too easy on her father.
Despite a good start as a manager-husband who got Garland back on her feet and to do A STAR IS BORN, Sid Luft ultimately saw Judy Garland as little more than his meal-ticket to Hollywood power. His abuse and financial & legal constraints crippled Judy for the remainder of her life.
Even after Judy was long dead, Luft kept picking at her corpse, auctioning (among other things) her false eyelashes and other personal belongings many years later.
Lorna may be a terrific singer, but her dad is scum.

Yes, that is all true - but remember, her father is the only parent she's had for most of her life.

Yeah, rath, I know..I shouldn't tar the daughter for the sins of her father. It's hard, though. Maybe if Lorna had been Mark Herrons daughter...wait, what was I thinking??? Sheesh!
Actually, the ex-spouse of Judy I'm most fascinated by is David Rose. To my knowledge, he's NEVER talked or published anything about his marriage to Judy. Is he even still alive?

Lorna was only "easy" on her father because he's still alive and highly litigious. Highly. The Simon and Schuster and ABC lawyers wouldn't let her say what she wanted to say about him.

She didn't do G&D on Broadway, but on some kind of tour...she was in EXTREMITIES off-Broadway and in PROMISES, PROMISES on-.
