Would anyone else love to see a MAD MEN musical? A really stylish, jazzy and subdued musical take on the characters could be great. I'd love Jeanine Tesori to write it.


The only reason this came into my head was because I was watching the show and suddenly thought that if it was made into a musical, Kelli O'Hara would be perfect as Betty. Does anyone have any other fantasy casting...I'm stumped to think of someone who could be as good as Jon Hamm for Don. Maybe he can sing...

I could see Jeanine Tesori as one of the few composers who could accurately work on a Mad Men musical (LaChiusa being the only other one who comes to mind), but I don't think it's a good idea. The show, fantastic though it is, doesn't lend itself well to a two-hour self-contained story.
