MEGABUS.COM...why no more 11:30pm?!

I went to go book my next bus trip to/from NYC on Saturday May 23rd. When I go to nyc I always take the 11:30pm home so I can get to see an 8pm show, but when I went to purchase the ticket they do not have 11:30 leaving NYC. Does anyone know whats up with this....OR could you recomend a cheep bus line to take? I WILL NOT TAKE THE FUNG WAH.

Probably because it's Memorial Day weekend and that bus is already sold out?

Megabus recently changed all of their schedules. I already miss the 11:59 pm to DC. Hard to make the 11 PM if you have a long 8 PM show.

I took it home just the other night...the driver said something about a schedule change. I agree, it sucks.

Bolt doesnt' run that late.

And Greyhound just sucks in general.

I take Fung Wah all the time. It's really not bad at all. I tried Megabus and switched back to Fung Wah even though it's more expensive, because Megabus drivers have no idea how to drive in the city and I ended up getting in an hour late every time just because of the route they took. It was so frustrating, I decided it was better for my health to take Fung Wah. If you're so opposed to it because of the reputation of the Chinatown drivers, I know that Megabus uses the exact same drivers on their D.C. route. Fung Wah has made a huge effort in the past few years to better train their drivers and they are much safer now.

Strange. Still, when their official route tells the drivers to make a left-hand turn on 42nd and 7th, quite possibly the BUSIEST INTERSECTION IN THE COUNTRY, that's when I give up.

I took the Megabus earlier in the month from Albany to NYC and while getting down was a breeze and on time, getting out of the city at 6 pm when the lines for the multitude of buses weave in and out of each other...that was nuts. I felt lucky that I got out of there by 6:30.

Megabus almost left my friend and a few others at a rest stop in MA after trying to leave earlier then the ten minutes he said he'd be there (he parked perhaps 5 minutes). Didn't do a count or check either. I pointed it out to him and he yelled at me and told me I'd been late getting back on the bus when I'd only left it for about 3 minutes to use the restroom.

He then blasted the radio (it was a late return, about midnight at this point) at his seat. I didn't want to get up as I was through dealing with him. A lovely patron in front of me did the honors. And both of us reported him to Megabus afterward.

The driver from Boston to NYC, however, was awesome. But because of this experience, I avoid Megabus. I wish Boltbus would add a late bus on Sat - they'd make lots of cash from it, I'm sure.

It seems like the 11:30 is back at mega....I just booked it for next Saturday and for August.


But it looks like just on Fri, Sat and Sun.
