MTV's ratings have dropped 23% among it's prized demographic of 12 to 23 year-olds. Even 'the Hills' is down by a quarter since a year ago. But the geniuses at MTV know what the problem is: NOT ENOUGH cheesy "reality" shows! SO they are adding 16 new pieces of poop to their schedule in the next 4 moths! That's right, an average of one new "reality" show each week! And they sound great, too- Donald Trump sending wild girls off to an English boarding school sounds so classy! I can't wait!

And good riddance. I don't think this channel--a staple of my youth--will really be missed by anyone.

"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.” ~ Muhammad Ali

“Our shows are going to focus less on loud and silly hooks and more on young people proving themselves.”

...

Meanwhile, Trump’s show, “Girls of Hedsor Hall,” will follow a dozen hard-partying young women as they are sent to an English finishing school.

Too bad those two statements contradict each other. Good try MTV.

Do they air anything but reality shows at this point?

They aired Legally Blonde the musical last year.

But that's about it.

I'm personally excited for The City! But anyway, I think that the station should either change the channel's name or bring back the music.
