I love her. She made some memorable films, both good and bad. The good:
"What's Up, Doc?"
"Blazing Saddles"
"Young Frankenstein"
"High Anxiety"
"Paper Moon"
The Bad:
"At Long Last Love" (Burt Reynolds "sings")
"Won Ton Ton, The Dog Who Saved Hollywood"
"Mixed Nuts" (perhaps the worst Steve Martin movie ever and that's saying a lot)

"Where you going?... Oh, you men are all alike. Seven or eight quick ones and then you're out with the boys to boast and brag. YOU BETTER KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT. Oh... I think I love him."

I absolutely adore this woman. She's one of the few actresses that I can safely say is brilliant and memorable in each movie. She was great in Clue ("I hated Yvette... SO much..."), Blazing Saddles, What's Up, Doc?, Young Frankenstein ("Oooohhh, sweet mystery of life..."), etc.
However, I think her best performance was in Paper Moon, for which I think she should have won the Oscar.

Posted: 6/1/06 at 1:46amI still... do not understand how O'Neal won the Oscar. She was great but, imho, three of the other nominees were better (Candy Clark, Madeline Kahn, Sylvia Sydney). It just made no sense.

"Tell me, dear, what is it that you do do?"
"Come here you hot monster!"
"Taffetta darling!"
"What a nice guy!"
I cried when I read she'd died. She was an original.

"Can we PLEASE step on the same foot AT THE SAME TIME?! MY TITS ARE FALLIN' OFF!"
Although she has some of the best lines in Young Frankenstein:
"Oh. Where you going?... Oh, you men are all alike. Seven or eight quick ones and then you're out with the boys to boast and brag. YOU BETTER KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT. Oh... I think I love him."
"I put a special hamper in the bathroom just for your shirts and the other one is for socks and poo-poo undies."
I love her so much. One of my heros. I'll always miss her.

Posted: 6/1/06 at 4:19pmI loved her in The Adventures of Sherlock Holme's Smarter Brother. The more she sings the better. I cry whenever I think about her death. She would probably still be here as the most brilliant person in the world. A year, it took, for her to pass. I miss her so much. I never knew her, though, until after she died. (I was young. only 7 or 8.)
