Madison Keys 2025 Australian Open Champion.

Congratulations to American Madison Keys for winning her first Grand Slam title in Australia last week. She beat four top 10 players along the way to the title including the #1 and #2 seed. She made US Open final in 2017 but lost rather badly so this win most be even sweeter for her. She recently married her coach and by all accounts is one of the nicest people you could ever meet.

There were probably at least five moments in those final two matches where I thought she would choke it away like usual. Great to see that she got it done, and against one of the toughest draws in recent tennis history.

That’s a big monkey off her back at age 29.

I assume one of those was when she saved "match point" against Swiatek -lol
