Since Madge majorly F-ed up her lines they skipped the song in the live version, but here is the dress rehearsal (and a MUCH funnier performance) where Lady Gaga and Madonna do the duet and a longer version of the skit.

It's quite astounding what a bad actress M is, though! And I've actually seen SHANGHAI SURPRISE!

Much better here. Could have been done better though, I think. SNL *REALLY* needs new writers.

The SNL writers wrote a completely solid episode for Gerard Butler. Much of the success of an episode is host-dependent.

This is very true. I have seen numerous times when sketches were tried with one host or even two and failed miserably during dress only to be tried again with the right host and it works!
