Madonna computer crash fears in London!

Pop veteran Madonna has been forced to announce her British tour dates gradually in the fear high demand for tickets will cause computers to crash.

The singer, who announced her 2004 Re-invention tour dates earlier this week, left 250,000 hopeful fans without tickets when her first London gig sold out within minutes.

A second date on Aug. 19 was added soon after, but seats for the show were again filled just as quickly.

An insider says, "Madonna will play five gigs in London altogether - two at Earls Court and three at Wembley.

"But after discussions with several ticket outlets, it became clear they'd have to be released at intervals to prevent mayhem and computer's blowing up."

"So we've had to pretend that extra concerts are being added due to public demand."

Madonna's world tour kicks off in Los Angeles at the Forum on May 24.

Enough Anthony. Really. Why do you insist on breaking up your single ideas into multiple threads and columns? It's all just so much Hamburger Helper at this point.

Anyone remember Manwich? "A sandwich is a sandwich, but a Manwich is a meal."

I honestly don't think he does it because he thinks anyone really cares that Madonna took a huge dump and overflowed her hotel toilet (which would be a lot more interesting, actually). He just wants to get a rise out of people because he knows how much it annoys them.

Matt...I'm guessing that Manwich had a bigger market in the midwest. I lived in Ohio during the Manwich years. Hmmmm, papa's from o-HI-o, too....wonder if he has fond memories...

a manwich? for the last time, i'm str8, dagnabbit! and as mrs. mambo is fond of saying, "the family that downloads porn together gets group rates at the therapist."

all that notwithstanding, i still eat manwich and love it. although with the low carb craze i've cut back as the buns are just killin' my wistline.

re: man o man

try using whole wheat buns (make sure it isn't enriched wheat, so you may have to go to a whole foods store). You can also enjoy any sandwich (especially a sloppy joe) with just one bun instead of both, eating it with a fork...

who am I kidding??? I want a MANwich like papa was first alluding to!!!! sigh

I've been going about therapy all the wrong way....

Though my family in group therapy would send many more therapists to the yarn store than I do alone.

Leave it to Namo to compare me to Food!

The one thing he truly knows more about than anyone else!

re: re: re: re: man o man

Anthony. Dear, lovely, shiny Anthony. I didn't compare you personally to food, believe me. I compared your *ideas* to empty calories. Now, don't you have more parts to write of your magnumb opus? The Rise and Fall of NY Cabaret Part IV: As I Said Before; The Rise and Fall of NY Cabaret Part V: To Reiterate; The Rise and Fall of NY Cabaret Part VI: And Another Thing; The Rise and Fall of NY Cabaret Part VII: To Summarize; The Rise and Fall of NY Cabaret Part VII: And In Conclusion; The Rise and Fall of NY Cabaret Part VIII: P.S. Why Lip-Synching Might Just Be the Solution; ad nauseum.

Anything to keep you otherwise engaged.

Dearest Namo,

‘Twas you who pointed out that I had been MIA from the board for far too long!

I must Thank you!

Had you not reminded me of that fact and simply went about chewing on your cud as usual…...I might have continued to stay away from the "lights of Fourteenth Street"...my beloved message board…..

So thank you! Thank you Namo! And God Bless!

I love your cockeyed (and I mean that) optimism, Tone. That you could take a statement like, "Isn't it great that Anthony doesn't post in the threads anymore?" and turn it into something affirmative for you is inspirational to the mentally challenged everywhere.

After so many people wrote in the threads that they basically go out of their way not to read your column (but we were all in agreement that you have every right to keep yourself occupied with it), it makes perfect sense that you would feel the need to start 182 threads about one thing. Your attention-seeking behavior is sad, but completely understandable. Whatever gets you through the night, and more importantly, the morning after.

Attention seeking? ME???

Are you MAD?

What about your little vacation stunt darling!!....I pity the better dining establishments of Miami or wherever you were!

Was there anything left for anyone else!

You know so much yet so little about..well....anything Namo...except Chips Ahoy!

Chips Ahoy you know a lot about!

re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: man o man

Miami? Try, try thinking out of your pathetic little Genre-reading niche market you sad Will & Grace cliche of a homo. If my going away had been attention seeking, I would have handled it your way. I would have made a huge announcement of my going away. I would have posted frequently reminding people I was away. And I would have started a thread a day with the themes, "How bad do you miss me?"

Anyway, game over. You've obviously reached your limit of creative comebacks. Why not go work on a column for a few months and replenish?

Ummmmm..Ok....

There was a time when my posts to the board were quite infrequent...as you pointed out!

And I never did anything like you describe above...

Which goes to prove that massive amounts of sugar can indeed cause brain damage!

You might want to have that checked out….

"And I never did anything like you describe below..."

Uh, what? Do you understand how this message board is laid out? Or has the alcohol messed up your equilibrium? Listen, you started out pretty sharp today, Tone, and it was fun for a while. But then the alcohol did its work and you're reduced to sentence fragments based on Joan Rivers fat jokes. Now parrying with you is like, to paraphrase Tony Kushner, throwing darts into Jell-O. There's no satisfying thwack. Here's hoping I have another opportunity to catch you in your weekly one hour with light hangover and no drinks yet sometime soon!
